The Art of Sludge

Today was interesting. There is a reporter that works at the paper named Steve Maronni, and he writes an entertaining column every month called In Your Shoes, where he takes on the work of a particular occupation for a day and there is a photographer assigned to take pictures of him, (And Steve does say he had the idea before Mike Rowe.) Today was that day and the job was septic tank cleaning. We spent the entire day with Steve Smith of Smiths Septic Service, and it wouldn't do it justice just to say the man lives for emptying giant underground tanks of human feces so maybe the pictures will instead. Great guy, full of stories about poop. Steve and I both walked away with toy trucks that say Smith's Septic Service. Heres the story.
